CONNECT — Night 1
Read:
Scripture (BSB): Isaiah 6:11 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted; and the train of His robe filled the temple.
Talk:
- What does Isaiah notice first about God?
- Why do you think God being on a throne matters?
Pray:
Thank God for being powerful and in charge of everything.
ENCOUNTER — Night 2
Read:
Scripture (BSB): Isaiah 6:2-32 Above Him stood seraphim, each having six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying.3 And they were calling out to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of Hosts; all the earth is full of His glory.”
Talk:
- What does the word “holy” mean?
- Why do the angels keep saying God is holy?
Pray:
Praise God for being holy and different from everything else.
ANCHOR — Night 3
Read:
Scripture (BSB): Isaiah 6:55 Then I said: “Woe is me, for I am ruined, because I am a man of unclean lips dwelling among a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of Hosts.”
Talk:
- How does Isaiah feel when he realizes God is holy?
- Why does God’s holiness help us see our own sin?
Pray:
Confess any wrong attitudes or actions and ask God for forgiveness.
RESPOND — Night 4
Read:
Scripture (BSB): Isaiah 6:6-76 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, and in his hand was a glowing coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar.7 And with it he touched my mouth and said: “Now that this has touched your lips, your iniquity is removed and your sin is atoned for.”
Talk:
- What does God do for Isaiah instead of pushing him away?
- What does this show us about God’s love?
Pray:
Thank God for forgiving sin and making us clean.
SEND — Night 5
Read:
Scripture (BSB): Isaiah 6:88 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying: “Whom shall I send? Who will go for Us?” And I said: “Here am I. Send me!”
Talk:
- Why is Isaiah ready to respond after God forgives him?
- How can our family respond to God this week?
Pray:
Ask God to help your family listen and obey Him together.
