CONNECT — Night 1

Read:

Scripture (BSB): Isaiah 6:1
1 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted; and the train of His robe filled the temple.

Talk:

  • What stands out to you about God in this verse?
  • How does seeing God clearly shape how you see yourself?

Pray:
Acknowledge God’s greatness and authority.


ENCOUNTER — Night 2

Read:

Scripture (BSB): Isaiah 6:2-3
2 Above Him stood seraphim, each having six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying.
3 And they were calling out to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of Hosts; all the earth is full of His glory.”

Talk:

  • What does God’s holiness reveal about His character?
  • How does holiness challenge casual or comfortable faith?

Pray:
Praise God for His holiness and glory.


ANCHOR — Night 3

Read:

Scripture (BSB): Isaiah 6:5
5 Then I said: “Woe is me, for I am ruined, because I am a man of unclean lips dwelling among a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of Hosts.”

Talk:

  • Why does Isaiah respond with confession instead of excuses?
  • Where might God’s holiness be revealing sin in your life?

Pray:
Confess honestly and ask God for cleansing.


RESPOND — Night 4

Read:

Scripture (BSB): Isaiah 6:6-7
6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, and in his hand was a glowing coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar.
7 And with it he touched my mouth and said: “Now that this has touched your lips, your iniquity is removed and your sin is atoned for.”

Talk:

  • What does God’s action toward Isaiah tell you about grace?
  • Why is it important that God acts first?

Pray:
Thank God for forgiveness and restored relationship.


SEND — Night 5

Read:

Scripture (BSB): Isaiah 6:8
8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying: “Whom shall I send? Who will go for Us?” And I said: “Here am I. Send me!”

Talk:

  • How does forgiveness prepare Isaiah for obedience?
  • What step of obedience might God be inviting you into?

Pray:
Ask God for willingness and courage to respond.
